Artist Bio

Meredith Meyer is an established artist with over fourteen years of experience. She began her artistic journey in 2011 - initially working with acrylics before exploring watercolor and gouache in pursuit of fluidity and motion in her work.

In 2017, Meredith discovered alcohol ink, a moment that significantly shaped her visual language. Drawn to its vibrancy and texture, she immersed herself in mastering the medium, developing a distinctive style marked by movement, saturation, and contrast.

Today, Meredith utilizes mediums such as acrylics with rich textural applications, using tools like palette knives and molding paste as well as oil paints blended with cold wax medium. This evolution supports her ongoing exploration of form and abstraction, allowing her to shift between sharp, sculptural textures and flowing, vibrant color fields.

Her style has been described as a play of fractures of reality, an obscurity of the familiar where fragmentation and fluidity meet in playful tension. Whether through bold neon threads or softer, contemplative abstractions, Meredith invites viewers into layered visual experiences that evoke emotion and curiosity.

Meredith’s work has been represented by galleries including Swipe Right Art and The Studio 208 in downtown Nashville, and collected by individuals and businesses around the world. Now based in Chicago, she is currently exhibiting with Andersonville Galleria for the month of July 2025 and looks forward to continued partnerships and opportunities within the city’s dynamic art scene.
